What we believe

WE BELIEVE
the Bible to be the only infallible, authoritative Word of God, a factual history book, God's love letter to you, and His instruction book for life.

WE BELIEVE
God is three persons: Father, Son & Holy Spirit.

WE BELIEVE
in the deity of Jesus Christ.

WE BELIEVE
that to be saved to eternal life in heaven, each person needs to first believe that Jesus is the Christ, is the son of God, and has a spiritual new birth.  We believe every person receives that invitation by God through Jesus, yes, even in the middle of Africa where they've never heard His name.  We believe when innocents, infants and unborn babies die, they go to heaven.

WE BELIEVE
the Holy Spirit dwells within every believer.

WE BELIEVE
in God's grace, mercy and forgiveness for our failings. A Christian will still fail at times because all people are broken and imperfect. We believe He extends these again and again, as we humbly recognize how we have hurt others, ourselves, and our relationship with Him.

WE BELIEVE
in God's power to heal and restore each of us, body, soul, and spirit.

WE BELIEVE
Christ's followers should be in community with fellow believers for encouragement, prayer, and meeting one another's needs.

WE BELIEVE
that Christians are called to care for the defenseless, abandoned, orphaned, widowed, and impoverished people of this world, meeting their physical needs as well as their spiritual and emotional needs.

WE BELIEVE
all people are created equal, and have the same value in God's eyes, from the moment of conception, until their natural death, no matter their value to another human being. As our creator, we believe God is the ultimate authority on the proper care of our sexuality.

WE DON'T BELIEVE!
That there are many paths to heaven, that there are other true gods; all other gods the Bible refers to as idols, which are of man's making, or worship of God's creation, instead of worship of God the creator. We don't believe that human beings are divine, though we are also spiritual beings, we are royalty, sons and daughters of the King of Kings. While our minds do have enormous influence on ourselves, we cannot manifest whatever we dream up into existence, like playing God. But nothing is new under the sun. New Age, New Thought, Prosperity Gospel, all attempt that. Whenever we don't appreciate God's ways, we look to create our own domain, with our own new rules. That desire to rebel is as old as the serpent in Eden. Repackaged for every new generation.
